We are looking for an experienced restaurant host/hostess to join our busy restaurant.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the front desk by receiving incoming calls, greeting and attending to customers on arrival and seating accordingly
- Manage client bookings over the phone, email, online and walk-ins
- Respond to customer enquiries and emails
- Assist in table clearing as occasion demands
- Collaborate with other restaurant staff and management to ensure that customer complaints are properly attended to in a timely manner
- Ensure planning with management and staff on function room bookings
- Provide excellent customer service at all points of contact with customers.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years experience in similar role
- Restaurant experience an advantage
- Excellent phone etiquette, communication skills and friendly manner
- Must be flexible and able to multitask
- Strong organisation and planning skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Be assertive yet calm under pressure
- Excellent dress code and personal presentation.
This is a part-time position, 15-20 hours per week including evenings and weekends.
